The “Furia” UAV on a commemorative 10-hryvnia coin
The “Furia” Unmanned Aerial System has become one of the symbols of the Ukrainian military’s combat capability, featuring in the design of a commemorative 10-hryvnia coin issued by the National Bank of Ukraine and dedicated to the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The reverse of the coin depicts a Ukrainian soldier carrying a weapon and a stylized composition combining elements of military equipment against a camouflage background. Among them is the “Furia” Unmanned Aerial System. The inscription “GROUND FORCES OF THE AFU” is placed against a mirrored background.
The commemorative coin is part of the “Armed Forces of Ukraine” series, dedicated to the branches and services of the military that defend Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity.
The coin’s artistic concept was created by Sviatoslav Ivanenko. The sculptors are Sviatoslav Ivanenko (obverse) and Vitalii Andriianov (reverse and digital modeling).
The appearance of the “Furia” UAV on a commemorative coin issued by the National Bank of Ukraine represents a symbolic recognition of the contribution of Ukrainian unmanned technologies to strengthening the country’s defense capabilities and shaping the modern history of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
