On April 9, 2020, by Order No. 115 of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the A1-СM “Furia” Unmanned Aerial System for reconnaissance and artillery fire adjustment was officially adopted into service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The decision followed the successful completion of state trials, which confirmed the system’s compliance with the established tactical and technical requirements.
Even before its official adoption into service, the system was actively used by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine. Practical experience gained in real-world operational conditions enabled the Athlon Avia engineering team, together with military specialists, to improve the design, enhance system reliability, and adapt the complex to the evolving needs of the Ukrainian military.
The adoption of “Furia” into service marked an important milestone in the development of Ukrainian unmanned technologies and demonstrated the effectiveness of years of cooperation between Athlon Avia engineers and specialists from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This milestone became another step in the development of Ukraine’s domestic unmanned aerial systems, which had already demonstrated high effectiveness in aerial reconnaissance, target detection, and artillery fire adjustment.
