Key Collaboration: User needs analysis and cross-functional alignment between R&D, engineering teams, and key stakeholders.

SPE “Athlon Avia”, a full-cycle Ukrainian research and production enterprise and an industry leader in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team as we continue to scale our technological capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy: Shape the overarching Product Vision, define strategic development trajectories, and build comprehensive product roadmaps.
User Research & Feedback Loop: Conduct in-depth analysis of end-user requirements, gathering and synthesizing feedback from field tests and real-world operational scenarios.
Requirements & Specifications: Translate business and operational needs into product requirements, technical specifications, and user stories for R&D and engineering teams.
Backlog Prioritization: Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure high-quality, timely delivery across engineering sprints.
Field Testing & Demos: Participate directly in field testing and product demonstrations, leveraging post-trial data to iterate and refine features.
Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with external partners, military end-users, and leadership to align product strategy with operational priorities.
Metrics & Product Documentation: Track core performance metrics and maintain structured, up-to-date product documentation.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Requirements:

Professional Background: Proven experience as a Product Manager in tech companies, with a strong preference for Hardware, Deep-Tech, or Defence-Tech domains.
Lifecycle Mastery: Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle—from conceptualization and R&D to field deployment and scaling.
Technical Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders/end-users.
Domain Adaptability: Strong technical literacy or the proven ability to rapidly master complex domain areas (avionics, electronics, military tech).
Flexibility: Willingness to operate in a high-velocity environment and travel for field testing and operational trials.

Nice to Have:

Technical degree (Aeronautical Engineering, Radio Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field).
Practical domain knowledge in defense technologies: Electronic Warfare (EW), RF telemetry, UAVs, gimbals/stabilized platforms, satellite links (Starlink), and adjacent systems.
Direct collaboration experience with military units as key end-users.
Professional English proficiency for reading technical documentation and business correspondence.
