Process Engineer (Electrical Assembly)

  • Key Scope: Process documentation, wiring routing design, production optimization, and labor norming.

SPE “Athlon Avia”, a full-cycle Ukrainian research and production enterprise and an industry leader in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), is seeking a skilled Process Engineer (Electrical Assembly) to join our team as we continue our active expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wiring Routing Design: Develop detailed electrical wiring harness layouts and routing plans, specifying cable paths, connection nodes, and mounting points.
  • Technical Process Requirements: Create routing sheets and standard operating procedures (SOPs) detailing wire fastening methods, connection types, insulation, and protection against mechanical damage and environmental factors.
  • Spatial Layout Optimization: Ensure optimal cable positioning inside the product airframe to prevent chafing, interference, and damage to adjacent subsystems.
  • Assembly Work Instructions: Draft clear, step-by-step technological instructions for assembly technicians, including safety protocols, crimping/soldering standards, and wire-harnessing guidelines.
  • Hands-on Assembly & Wiring: Perform wiring layout and installation of electronic modules (sensors, flight controllers, power boards) in accordance with engineering schematics when required by product design.
  • Electrical System Hookup: Connect and secure electronic units, inspect assembly integrity, ensure proper insulation, and verify physical protection.
  • Production Documentation & Quality Logs: Record assembly outcomes, log work progress, document identified defects, and update technical documentation accordingly.
  • Test Reporting & Acceptance: Prepare test reports, qualification acts, and validation documents based on trial results for formal approval.

Candidate Qualifications & Required Skills

  • Wiring Engineering Requirements: Proven ability to define technological requirements for cable harness routing and electrical assembly.
  • Process Documentation: Experience drafting technical and manufacturing process documentation.
  • Process Optimization & Norming: Proficiency in manufacturing process optimization and labor time-study (norming).
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SolidWorks and Altium Designer.
