SPE “Athlon Avia”, a full-cycle Ukrainian research and production enterprise developing advanced UAV technologies, is seeking a skilled Computer Vision Engineer to help build and optimize high-performance video and image processing algorithms for edge UAV applications.
📍 Full-time on-site position in Kyiv | Official military reservation (deferment) from Day 1
Core Responsibilities
- Algorithm Development: Design, build, and optimize Computer Vision algorithms tailored for UAV platforms.
- Video Stream Processing: Work with live video streams to implement real-time object detection and target tracking.
- Embedded AI/CV Integration: Integrate and optimize AI/CV models for resource-constrained embedded computing platforms.
- Testing & Debugging: Test, debug, and fine-tune algorithms across diverse operational environments and flight modes.
- Neural Network Deployment: Research, adapt, and deploy deep learning neural network models.
- Hardware Benchmarking: Evaluate embedded hardware performance and benchmark processing efficiency.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Skills & Technical Background:
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
- Computer Vision Frameworks: Hands-on experience with OpenCV.
- Image Processing: Solid understanding of core image and video processing algorithms.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven background in Computer Vision and Deep Learning techniques.
- OS: Strong Linux user and development skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with video pipelines and acceleration frameworks: GStreamer, DeepStream, TensorRT.
- Deployment experience on Nvidia Jetson or other edge embedded hardware platforms.
- Deep Learning frameworks: PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with real-time object tracking algorithms and low-latency video streaming.
- Practical understanding of deploying neural networks in production environments.
